With the change of assistant coach's, our points totals will depend on how much defence is stressed on this team, if Spott has any say, a 70 point season by Kessel may be termed great if we improve to around 15th in GA from one of the worst in the NHL.

Points totals are for stats watchers, Drew Doughty had only 37 points last season, that doesn't look impressive on paper but we all know how impressive this player is.

So a Kessel with 69-70 points depending on how well we do defensively may be more impressive than a 82 point Kessel of last year.

NHL player factory
Far to many variables. I can not see Bozak on the PP for too much this season. I can also see our lines changing more.

Kontiola is the wild card in the equation as he has shown a very high skill set in international play and maybe the player who makes line shuffling happen. I definitely see him as a top 6 forward this year and that may mean at center or the wing. If he can play like he did in the world championships then he maybe is the find of the year. Do not forget he was a PPG in the AHL and was not the same player as he is now.

That's 314 GF and only about 201 GA (assuming 55 games for Bernier)

That would make a positive goal differential of 113, and probably a favourite to win the Cup.

That's beyond optimistic my friend. Not sure there is a word for it.[\B]
