I mean. It's not a cap dump trade and it's fairly realistic, we just don't have a "Stepan" to trade.

The problem is that this year is different. Multiple teams will be trying to make some sort of deal that sheds salary in some way. Very few teams can make deal that adds salary. It's going to be a buyer's market and a team with cap can be picky... so what might be "realistic" or "fair" in some years isn't going to be good enough this year. If you want to save $8m on the cap (or $7m whatever you think the Murray +McCann contracts combined will be) then you aren't going to be getting back a 1st rd pick.

I get that these are useful players, but a team with cap space is absolutely going to maximize it.
