It'll always be my personal example because it sticks in my brain, but the most recent awful Kings team I can recall was the 1995-1996 lineup after the club filed for bankruptcy.

Which was bad but still had a 27 goal scorer in Khristich and Gretz still led the team in points with 81. McSorely had 148 PIMs. Kopitar's 14 goals and 34 points and Clifford's 35 PIMs show how bad this team is. No goals being scored and no toughness. Give me the 96 team again. At least there was some excitement.
