Damn shame because he's better than Harkins, Gruden, Carter, and a couple others.

That Carter NMC has really screwed the Penguins this year.

Hopefully he goes to WBS and can be recalled later. That said, Puustinen looked pretty decent so...this may be a moot point.

Pittsburghish
He’s nothing special but he still is better than like half a dozen forwards currently on the Pens roster.

He had a rough turnover like 3 weeks ago so Mike Sullivan will hold a grudge against his children’s children. No big deal when the PP has 4 turnovers in 45 seconds, though.

Better question is when will you get rid of Sullivan. Put him on waivers; no one will claim him

you could make the argument that it is time for change in Pittsburgh, but Sullivan would easily be the best coach available.

Regarding Hinostroza, Don’t players who have played a certain number of games or who have been on the nhl roster a certain number of days have to clear waivers before being sent to the minors?

He had a rough turnover because he actually tries to do something with the puck unlike Gruden, Harkins and Nieto who just jump and chase and contribute next to nothing.

Seems like a good pickup for a team needing easy depth.

Eh, it's not his first trip through the waiver wire in the last few years and nothing has really changed about his game. For his sake, I hope he clears so his wife and kids don't get uprooted.

Hilarious how all coaches pull the same BS. Quenneville's dog-house in Chicago was legendary. Guy could play 20 elite games in a row, makes one rough play, he'd never be seen again.

Meanwhile, old vets could vomit all over the ice for an entire season without missing a shift.

It was maddening.

Like seriously, the GM would be forced to trade him just cause having a guy on the roster that the coach refused to play made no sense.

Tortorella has been doing this his entire career. Nic Deslauriers has not been healthy scratched one time since signing with the Flyers before last season. Meanwhile, their leading ES scorer from last season, Morgan Frost, has been scratched like 10 times this season. I'd love to understand why coachs do stupid shit like this.

I guess Frost is just not a “gud pro”

How does he get sent down before Harkins
Exactly. Of all the people to get cut, its him? They both have good motors, but Hino has at least produced a few points, in fewer games, than Harkins' total lack of production (0G, 0A). On a team that desperately needs any production the bottom 6 can give us.

Its a marginal decision, but still makes no sense to me.
