He'll get reclaimed by Winnipeg and they'll send him to the AHL.

The comment from Jets fans ended up being pretty accurate, he has a nice motor but he doesn't have the hockey IQ to succeed in the NHL. He has a nice shot, good skating and plays a physical style, but he just doesn't know where to go in the NHL to have success.

“Certified JAG. Just A Guy” - Steve Smith Sr. if asked about Jansen Harkins (probably)
Not a bad career for a JAG

>3M estimate gross earnings at age 26 per cap friendly (now this isnt fully accurate as he spent time on a 2-way deal in the AHL but he still is pretty well off)

Over 150 NHL games which isnt that easy to achieve.

He isnt good enough to be more than a 4th liner for a good team at the NHL but most teams rather go with younger in grown options

Bottom 6 needs to be better. Harkins had a chance and didn't fit, so we will try someone new. Bring on Zohorna, Poulin, Puustinen, White etc.

I applaud Dubas for being proactive to change it up when it hasn't worked. Now waive one of Shea or Ludvig so we can bring up another bottom 6 forward and banish Carter to the press box where he belongs.

He will get claimed by WPG and sent down. Can go straight to the A.
Not if any other team put in a claim, then he has to go through waivers again.

It was clear from the beginning of training camp that Harkins and the Jets were done with each other, Jets aren't picking him up.

Well that experiment ended quickly.

Does PIT really have better bottom-six options though? Are they still dressing Carter?

Disappointed in his short tenure here and he was afforded a legitimate shot. Good Riddance Harkins, you bum!!!!!!!!!

Neither better nor worse. Just a bunch of fourth liners.

And yes, Carter is getting time. He has been fine given my expectations.. though nothing spectacular
