Good start but Berger needs to really roll up his sleeves and start acquiring 3rd liners and bottom pairing dmen if he wants to get this team ready for next season.

Bergevin was with the Hawks when he was drafted so he must know him pretty well.

Less injury prone Bournival? His F/O #s are pretty bad in NHL so far but he's still a rookie.

Strong face-off? That's not what the Stats show

Here's something the stats show: 32 NHL games.

Let him get used to the size and speed (and experience) of his opposing centres. He's 44% as a rookie. Way better than Wenneberg, Bennett, Spooner, Eichel, McDavid...

One thing MB knows is bottom 6ers and he's a hometown player to boot. Hopefully he shows he's good enough to be a regular. Bottom 6 is jammed, exiting stuff:

Desharnais
Eller
Mitchell
Byron
Flynn
DLR
Carr
McCarron
Hudon
Andrighetto

Andrighetto, Hudon, maybe McCarron, and Desharnais i wouldn't call bottom 6 players. But it does seem a bit ridiculous at this point trading for a player like danualt, not saying he's bad, but not really the type of player we need.

Who knows maybe he'll surprise me.
