They are still looking for an identity. Hakstol has encouraged them to play a modern style but now everyone is looking to pinch and score and it has backfired on them.

Yeah, that D(minus)-fense. And this with MacDonald out of the line-up. Of course, the silver lining is that practically all of the top-shelf prospects are defensemen. Plus, it's much easier trading for / signing a good defensive defenseman than a good offensive defenseman.

Mark Streit is leading the way so much he actually plays in front of the forwards

I'll never forget when he was just cruising through the slot for no apparent reason and actually blocked a Provorov shot. That's how out of position he was.

Well a good thing is ms will not be on the team after this year so that'll be 5.25 million dollars towards the cap or resigning ghost :yo:
