Guys play hard for Lewis and they generally have been successful in his tenure.

Jeff Fisher with the rams is a mystery though.

He's 0-7 in the playoffs & has bottomed out multiple times which has led to switch up in cores over that time. The guy would have been well gone by now if he coached here & rightfully so.

ownership must feel that generally going to the playoffs is better than multiple years of being the browns, which was the 90s Bengals. Bengals are a budget team too. It could be worse...

Meh accepting mediocrity isn't much better. They even bottom every few years or so to join the Browns in there too.

If Doug Pederson says they are still going in the right direction like he did Monday I might lose it

With this coaching staff and talent around him, we'll be lucky if Wentz turns out to be as good as Joe Flacco, much less a Manning or Favre.

You cant just draft the guy and call it a day.

As a Bengals fan this is pretty much the exact truth. It took Mike Brown 4 years to fire Dave Shula so whether we like it or not Lewis has plenty of job security.

We're talking football here not hockey. The Browns have packed their stadium for decades now despite being supplied the worst product in all of sports.
Bengals had bad attendance in the 90s though. For some, this must be a business first.

I'm not saying id like it. We basically had the same thing with Reid. I was happy with that change.

The thing with the NFL is that from year to year 6-10 can be 10-6 easily. Its really hard to be the Patriots. And even with their consistency look how long it took them to get back to the top of the mountain after 2004.
