Adam Gase about to ruin the Jets draft position some more & get an extension at this rate.
So what happens when you lateral the ball and it hits the ground on one of those last play situations? Isn’t that a fumble? How is anyone allowed to advance the ball then?
#HireBOB
How is that a fumble?
I was talking about Haskins.Had possession, made a football move and had it knocked out by another player. Makes sense.
Is this a new rule or something because this has without a doubt happened before and likely even this season. You can't, I suppose (unless the person who lateraled-it recovers).
If it's on 4th down, then it looks like you can't advance a fumble unless the one who fumbles recovers it.So what happens when you lateral the ball and it hits the ground on one of those last play situations? Isn’t that a fumble? How is anyone allowed to advance the ball then?
They could trade back to a team that wants a QB and potentially still have their choice of the three WRs, but one of them for sure. And that team moving up could have a shot at Fields after he was the presumptive #2OA all this time. Madness.
It’s the last two minutes of a half, also. Not just fourth down.If it's on 4th down, then it looks like you can't advance a fumble unless the one who fumbles recovers it.
How many last play situations occur on 4th down? The rule is specific to 4th down fumbles.
I agree, they should trade with the Eagles. Great post.
And now I have to watch Rams-Seagulls. fml
Yeah, just saw. Much confusion. It’s the last two minutes of a half, also. Not just fourth down.
@Captain Dave Poulin This Dallas defense is a special blend of terrible scheme fits and undisciplined play at the same time. It's breathtaking.
