As much as Orr helped Esposito I think this is him. 6 times leading the league in goals and 8 times in top-5. Compared to 3 times leading the league and 4 times top-4.

Apart from all of his awards and stats his performance in the first Canada Russia series is legendary. He was the leader on a team of the best NHL players.

They are quite close. I think Esposito was better overall.

Brett Hull had the better peak season as a goal scorer, and his other 2 best are arguably better than Esposito's 1st , but Esposito was more consistent as the best goal scorer of his generation. Hull only has half of Esposito's 1st place goal scoring finishes.

Hull was mainly a goal scorer. But one hell of a great one!
Esposito was both an elite playmaker and goal scorer.
I think he’s clearly the better overall player.
But the poll is just for goal scoring.
I’d probably still go Espo based on his consistency.
