Morin is smart he knows what he has to do. He knows he has to adjust to playing with his body in the pros. Before he works on his offensive game he has to season his defensive game because let's face it, he has to maximize his shutdown ability to be a full time NHLer. That's the reason Gordon is giving him the tough situations in the defensive zone. Hard minutes.

You don't want to pigeon hole a guy into a role by default though. The goal should be to try & maximize everybody's development down there.

While it might be true that guys like Morin or Gostisbehere might be geared towards one side of the puck when/if they reach the NHL. You still don't want to look back & say to yourself what if.

Watching these Russian goalies the last 2 nights makes me wonder what they think of Fedotov. Tretiak is awful.
