I can't recall exactly, but doesn't one of the assistant coaches run the 3v3?

Probably, the problem is when you are the head coach and playing zone is getting you beat in 3 vs 3 in every single game, you look at your assistant and tell him to change the system. Kind of part of being a head coach, looking at your guys and saying enough is enough.

AV is atrocious. Rangers win in spite of him, not because of him.

Luongo/Lundqvist account for how many of his wins?

Laviolette is the best US born coach in NHL history, no?
Best US born coach in NHL history? I'd have to think about that one.
Definitely not that guy.

Herb Brooks was a massive flop of a head coach at the NHL level. Aside from his first few years with the Rangers, he didn't keep any of his other NHL head coaching positions for more than a year.

He was probably much more cutout for coaching of college players than NHL level talent. He's really not remembered for doing anything of merit as an NHL head coach. His coaching legacy is based on coaching college hockey and the 1980 Olympics, none of it is based on the NHL.

I've been amazed by him for years and always the last half dozen had him in a top 5 consideration when brought up but I always was surprised he got shoved around sometimes below like Brodreau, Trotz, or Vingeault to people
