The Penguins return to the road to face the Wild in Minnesota tonight at 8:00 PM ET.

The game will be available to watch locally on SportsNet Pittsburgh and nationally on ESPN+. Fans can listen to the game on the Penguins app and on 105.9 the X.

Team Records: PIT (23-17-7) MIN (22-23-5)

The Wild returned from the All-Star break with a victory, defeating Chicago, 2-1. The team is led in points by Kirill Kaprizov (19G-26A). Sensational rookie defenseman Brock Faber (4G-26A), trails only first-overall selection Connor Bedard (15G-18A) in points among rookies.

Before the game, the Wild will honor long-time Penguins goaltender and three-time Stanley Cup champion Marc-Andre Fleury in a pre-game ceremony. The Wild will commemorate Fleury for reaching 1,000 games played in the NHL and securing 552 career wins, moving past Patrick Roy (551 career wins) for second-most all-time among NHL goaltenders (Martin Brodeur, 691 career wins). Fleury became the fourth goaltender and 388th player in NHL history to reach the 1,000-game milestone on Dec. 31, 2023.

Plan A, make sure first shot of game is a soft wrist shot from just inside the red line

Plan B, dump puck around net

Plan C, go into final 3 mins down by a goal

Should result in success
Which should activate the Jeff Carter protocol.

We lose by one goal while watching MAF stone every pedestrian attempt we make. Like that Letang, Malkin, or Karlsson bumble the pump on the blue line with 30 sec left.

I know MAF's Nice guy/60 is supposedly off the charts but I am rather tired of people talking about him like he is one of hockey's all time greats.

As for the game, who the hell knows which version of the Penguins will show up. Maybe the good one, we aren't near the playoffs, so they might not be too complacent. Yet.

Four players from the draft before Sid’s remain in the NHL (according to Pensburgh). What are their names?
