Game Notes
Jeff Carter ranks sixth among active players with 50 points (23G-27A) in 59 career games against the New York Islanders. It’s the most points he’s accumulated against any one team.
Defenseman Kris Letang leads all active NHL blueliners in goals (13), assists (35) and points (48) versus the Islanders.
Reilly Smith has 18 points (7G-11A) in 23 career games against the Islanders, which includes eight points (3G-5A) in his last nine games against them.
Jake Guentzel has 29 points (10G-19A) in 28 career games against the Islanders. He has points in seven of his last eight games (8G-6A) versus them.
Rickard Rakell enters tonight’s game riding a four-game point streak (2G-3A). A point tonight would give Rakell his first five-game point streak since a six-game point streak from Feb. 27-Mar. 8, 2021 (5G-7A).

Ned’s probably gonna have to steal one for us to get 2 points…I don’t trust the team to beat the Isles twice in 3 days lol

Mayfield is being activated from IR for this game…so one of Isles top three D men is back…

I do not have a good gut feeling about this one. Weird shit happens in Pens Isles games and we just embarrassed them just a few days ago. I hope they come out of this one with at least a point. But I do feel like it’ll be a OT/SO loss. Just my gut feeling.

Pens should win this game. Be disappointing if they let this fall through their fingers.
Why is that? The Pens just played and the Isles are rested. I'm not sure if this being a home game does enough to counterbalance the Isles having rest and the Pens not.

On paper the Isles should win this game given the rest advantage imo. But obviously I hope we do.

These next two games might be the most important ones so far this season. 2 regulation wins against the Isles and Caps would be huge to move up the standings. Lets see if these guys have any fight in them.

Pens have been better this year on back to backs and the Isles got their frustration out from the 7-0 loss by whipping Washington 5-1.

4-1 Pens.
