It's maddening how enamoured DB is with that pairing. Even pushing Engo back to start PK's against the Rangers.
I'm just waiting for that pair to get lit up, not only at ES but on the PK. Then maybe something will be done with it.

There aren't too many teams in the league where Bort and Des isn't a great starting pair that would get extensive TOI in a variety of situations. Here, they are somehow behind Orpik and Engo.

Ugh, Orpik and Engo were terrible. It just seems so obvious to have Engo at 4F and insurance D at <1M where he can still bring physicality and fighting if needed over either Adams or Glass and frees up a D spot in the process. The only reason I can think of wasting Despres and Bortuzzo in the press box is that someone actually thinks that Engo at 31 is going to become a top 4-5 D.
