Good news: Sid is skating again and had a well deserved 3 point night.

Bad news: Sully needed to put Kunitz on Sid's wing to help him snap out of whatever funk he was in the last few weeks.

In the end, the move served it's purpose and is no harm as long as the pairing doesn't persist when the games really matter. On the other hand, if Sid's RW remains unsettled while Kunitz continues to be a good luck charm and then Sheary comes back, I wouldn't be surprised to see Kunitz-Sid-Sheary get a look and Rust on L4.

Worse news: this probably means Sully can't be trusted to send Kunitz to the 4th line ever again.

Sid scored two, which is great. The bad thing is, MS will probably keep Kunitz there.

Nice game from GAF as well.

Impressed with Rowney tonight. Threw the body around a bit, looked pretty good.

One other thing: Sully will go back to Murray in net. No question. And, this game has to have reinforced to Fleury that he's a starting goalie right now who can backstop a team to and on a playoff run. If that gets Fleury thinking that a trade might be the best thing for him, than that may be as important a development as Kunitz inspiring Sid to start skating again was.

Good win although I think these lines would have been shut down had they been playing a contender. The Blues are really bad.

And how terrible are the Oilers considering that Schultz was a dumpster fire when he played there?

Don't want to nitpick after a very good game overall, but Maatta was bad in this one again. Dumoulin wasn't great either. Fleury looked really good though, that was encouraging to see for sure.

Rowney is a solid player. Good to know we have him around as a plug and play bottom 6 center.

I never really this type of guy but I'm happy and all that MAF won but basically any competent goalie wins that game for Pittsburgh tonight. Blues are terrible
