Excited to hear Dubas say he looks forward to seeing what Jarry do next season during his presser right now lol…looking to see how Blomqvist does re whether to resign Ned etc

Also excited to hear him take responsibility for the year and deflect all blame from coaching staff lol…can’t wait to hear him reinforce his confidence in Mike Sullivan…says he’s meeting with Sullivan re the staff, so that precludes him from being fired lol

I've posted on the board since you had to check the newspaper for yesterday's scores and Crosby scoring race updates.

Been a Kraken fan the whole time.

I started sowing the seeds of dissent early. Slowly. Imperceptibly. Until the whole house of cards came crashing down.

The whole 20 years I've been on here... often being critical of the team... has just been one long ruse to fool a bunch of people I don't even know into thinking I like a sports team that I ACTUALLY don't!

...

Yeah... I don't have much going on in my life.

So how, exactly, do you get younger and give these young guys an opportunity with Sully behind the bench and 12 forwards already signed?

It's fun to just say things you don't mean at all and have no intentions of actually doing. Try it sometime! Here... I'll start:

"I'm DEFINITELY going to watch this team next season especially because Mike Sullivan and probably his entire staff are going to be back!"

Season just ended. Not expecting any staff changes for a week or two after exit interviews are complete and Dubas consults with ownership.
Coaching changes, especially easy moves like assistants leaving, are usually pretty instant after the season, no?

It should take 5 seconds to say the PP was an utter embarrassment and Todd is gone. It would be literal insanity if he is back.

And I am sure that will come up when all the reviews are done. Its not like there is someone we have to sign in that role right now or risk losing. For all we know Toronto might can Keefe in 2 weeks and Dubas convinces FSG to let him hire Keefe. There is nothing to gain and nothing to lose by conducting a thorough year end review.

I will be curious as to this as well. You can say you want to get younger, as he had been, but you actually have to do it.

And it can’t be done through UFA as those are already older players

IMO assistant coaches are even more useless than head coaches and one of their primary functions is meat shield. Once the head coach's seat is hot... they are the first tossed into the breach.

Guess what? The head coach's seat is not hot. Everyone should do the math. Nothing is changing.

EDIT: Maybe they bring in a powerplay "specialist" for the staff. Hard to imagine it not being some good-buddy, though.

These press conferences always amuse me because it seems like Dubas genuinely wants to see what some of the WBS guys can do at the NHL level. Then the coach who we can’t even have a discussion about removing doesn’t give them a fair shake. It’s bizarre.
It was nice to hear him talk nicely about several young players however, if they truly want to be using those guys and seeing what they have, that starts with NOT signing guys like Nieto and Acciari. In addition to providing zero offense, they block the roster spot for the young guys. If they want youth, they need to figure out (or force) how to get them into the lineup besides when there are injuries. 2016 - great example, they were able to rotate Sheary, Rust, Wilson, and Kuhnhackl a couple times. (true they were there because of injuries, but LONG TERM injuries and retirement. There was no wondering if Duper was coming back or Porter).

Again, if you want to get younger...get younger. Play younger players.

We don't know what the plans are except signing Sid. Next the coaches will be replaced. NO way dubas accepts that PP and OT performance. I also think Sullivan will be told junk the system and play 2024 hockey. Bigger faster younger. Pens with a couple smart moves here Pens can be in the playoffs next year. But man how long can they hang with Letang who was hurt all year. Malkin who is sliding even with Bunting helping him.

Yeah sounds like Letang might need major surgery. Not great. If he does, hopefully they can do it sooner than later.

Hey did you get your check for spreading officially approved negativity points yet? Mine’s late.
