Some positive stuff on Sprong in JBs notebook:

Johnston raised some eyebrows when he said he still considers Daniel Sprong a junior player after Thursday night's game. It suggested the Penguins might want to send him back to juniors before he plays 10 games, which would make the first year of his entry-level contract kick in. Johnston walked back on those comments Friday. “I could have said a younger player, an 18-year-old player,†Johnston said. In general, he was complimentary of Sprong's play. “For me, he hasn't failed any tests yet,†he said.

He's following the trend of looking good before getting here, awful while here, then good once he leaves. I'm guessing it's the players.

I'd be surprised if he gets sent back. He has the opportunity with BB and Dupuis out. And he doesn't strike me as a kid who will fail to seize it.
