Funny you should mention that. Yohe wrote today that the front office friggin loves Clendening. You'd never know that judging by the lineups.

In any case, the FO also likes Sprong, but the coach apparently doesn't. So while the FO may insist on stocking the kitchen with those ingredients, the cook isn't adding them to the meal.

No idea how we went from the proper pairings the first day of camp to the current mess. But it seems to have to do with Pouliot's poor performance.

But if we're willing to play Cole on the left then we might as well do:

Maata Letang
Dumo Lovejoy
Cole Clendening

And let that third pairing take the easy matchups until Pouliot is ready to come up and pair up with LJ on the third pairing. Then we'll get a better idea of what we have in Clendening in the interim.

Maybe a bit of poetic license on my part, but liking a guy enough that you've got no problem leaving Pouliot in the A for the year seems a pretty strong endorsement.

You don't need advanced stats of any sort to know that pairing needs to be scrapped ASAP.

Well of course you don't, but still these numbers tells us that they have been one of the worst 1st pairing in the league. That's a huge problem even bigger than Scuderi or Kunitz.
