Good call I think. He'll always be remembered as a Penguin. Of his like 10 best seasons 9 of them were as a Penguin. All his team success was here. He's a quirky guy, not a bad guy.

I kinda wonder whether Jagr's jersey would have been retired earlier had he signed with the Penguins in the 2011 off-season. Too bad Shero cared more about Tyler Kennedy than bringing back Jagr, though.

Well, he is basically retired now, so that is probably the reason its happening now! Would be hard to while he still playing games several times a week
