It was against the Caps, he stripped Ovechkin of the puck in the Pens' zone and it led to an odd man rush.

If they could magically grant him skating ability he'd be a solid 4th liner.

Yeah, it was a nice play. He's actually not worse than a lot of 4th liners, IMO. Still hope he doesn't have to play with the big club much.

While I don't doubt the authenticity of that statement (with regards to Sid/Geno loving him), I'm not sure it's even relevant since he's always in the AHL.

It's one thing if he's carried on the big club as the 13th forward and gets about a dozen games a season against the dirtier clubs, but how does him being in the AHL 99% of the season have any effect on Sid or Geno?

It's not like a few years ago when the club carried Eric Godard.
