When you expect nothing, you only can be pleasantly surprised. Hope is the enemy of happiness, while pessimism is the true fruit thereof.

82-0 or 81-1?

Boyle, Heinen, Simon, Blueger, EROD, Rust for the Rocket Richard?

Jokes aside, the Pens played the perfect road game. Structure. Discipline. Support. The crappy ice helped, as did the Lightning still enduring what now is a couple of month hangover. The PP still sucks, but whatever . . . it's a win in a game where it was hard to expect that, so enjoy.

P.S.: Whoever here bet on the Pens and OVER 5 goals, enjoy your steak dinner, my friend. You've earned it.

P.P.S.: Really liked Heinen and Friedman tonight. Lots of guys played well. Some played better. But those two were atop the list of 'far exceeded expectations' guys. Good for Boyle too.

+ We have the best group of forwards in the league when healthy.
+ NBC was a national home for hockey. It will be missed. The NHL should have stayed there, they had an excellent broadcast team (including the quirks), style, and production value.
+ Crosby, Malkin, Letang, Carter, Guentzel, Kapanen, Rust, and Dumoulin is an excellent core.

Without looking at TOI, I think top 4 D must have played at least 23-24 minutes each.

Great game all around. First period really set the tone, even though they didn't score.

+ Mike Sullivan knows how to coach a team with limited talent. People need to be comfortable with the fact he's probably the best Penguins coach ever.

-The announcer. I know they didn't influence the game but it's still bad hockey etiquette to jinx a shutout.

While NBC did well, it doesn’t have the reach or following ESPN does. While some stuff is corny, ESPN will be good for the league.

Awesome game for about 54 min. Really hated how it ended. TJ was on his way to silence the haters then he of course gives up one after Dumo Oprik's him then he makes a stupid play with an EN and gives up 2.

And f*** you to the camera angle and announcer who jinxed TJ all night. And a double f*** you to the troll "Pens fans" who trolled the GDT. Cowards.
