Lots of movement on the ranks from last year to this one. Matt Murray reaches the top after barely making the top 10 last year and not making the list at all two years ago. Scott Wilson also with a huge jump after a great rookie season. Oskar Sundqvist continues his steady climb (20th to 12th to 6th to 3rd place). On the down side, Josh Archibald and Anton Zlobin lose ground after disappointing seasons. Dominik Uher drops out of the top 20. And Tom Kühnhackl fails to make it for the second year in a row.

Final 2015 poll results:

#1 Matt Murray (54.48%) (+8)
#2 Daniel Sprong (40.14%) (new)

Certainly Dumoulin has graduated.

1. Sprong >
2. Murray >>
3. Jarry >
4. Simon >?
5. Guentzel ? (dunno much 'bout)
6. Sundqvist > (slow progression)
7. Angello ? (dunno much 'bout)
8. Blueger ? (dunno much 'bout)
9. Byron ? (dunno much 'bout)
10. Maguire >?(young)

Nice list although i'd put Maguire higher but he needs to be tested on a higher lvl, so ...waiting with optimism here.

I've added > to players which i think will or have a very good chance to graduate.

curious how you guys see the top 20 as of today.

Based on the previous list:
(top six forward/top four defense/starting goalie potential)
1-Dumoulin (graduated?)
2-Sprong
3-Murray
4-Jarry

(regular bottom six forward potential)
5-Sundqvist
6-Rust

(fringe bottom six forward potential)
7-Wilson
8-Sheary
9-Kuhnhackl

Everyone else is kind of a mix of longshots and wildcards.

FWIW I based my rankings off of guys who will be sure fire NHL players in any capacity. Rust has proven to me that he has. Murray was good but he still has a tiny sample size. You never know.

Just for fun, I decided to compile an All-Shero team. It includes every player drafted by the Pens while he was GM, including any who may not have even signed with the Pens. It doesn't include players drafted by other teams using a draft pick they acquired from the Pens. It also doesn't include players who haven't played a single NHL game yet.

It's all kinds of depressing how bad the forward crop is over almost a decade of drafting. There isn't even enough forwards who played at least 1 NHL game to fill out a 12-forward lineup.

Forwards:
Bryan Rust - Jordan Staal - Beau Bennett
Luca Caputi - Dustin Jeffrey - Tom Kuhnhackl
Scott Wilson - Oskar Sundqvist - Ben Hanowski
Kenneth Agostino - Dominic Uher

Defense:
Jake Muzzin - Simon Despres
Olli Maatta - Robert Bortuzzo
Derrick Pouliot - Brian Strait
Ex. Morrow, Harrington

Goalies:
Chad Johnson
Matt Murray

*Bolded denotes players still with the organization

Its a roster of players who were draftd by the Pens, not who currently play for them. I think Moulson and Letestu could be added to that list, but I can't remember if they were Shero's or Patrick's picks.

I understood that. I was referring to the "players in bold are still in the organization" part.
