That sucks but yeah. He hasn’t been able to play very much recently. He was a quality backup for a while. Looked like he might be good enough for someone to give him a shot as a starter, but then the injuries set in.

Got a ring.. played at the Olympics. He was a very good goalie but unfortunately went the Michal neuvirth route with injuries. He will be a commentator at the world's in Prague soon!

Sad to hear a goalie has to end their career due to injury. One thing Francouz can always hold his head up high about, he was 6-0 in the '22 playoffs and helped the Avs win a Cup!

Such a shame. I really thought Pavel would eventually be the starter for the Av and I would sure as hell prefer him over Georgiev. Injuries kept setting him back but he was a great goalie for us and I’m happy he won a Cup with us. Hope he has a happy retirement and stays healthy.
