LeBrun: Patrick Maroon to WPG/BOS

LeBrun states that there's a big push from Winnipeg and Boston with a chance at a late 1st for Patrick Maroon. The 1st seems unrealistic to me but what are some of the potentially close to NHL ready prospects that these two teams would be comfortable offering for a pure rental in Maroon?

I just don’t see why either of those teams feel the need to get into a bidding war over him. Neither of them has any trouble scoring goals and it’s really hard to believe that Maroon is going to be the difference maker in winning a Cup beyond anyone else on your team that might get hot at the right time.

Some underrating of Maroon ITT. He can play up and down your whole line up, score goals, work a vicious cycle and agitate/fight. Very useful player.

A 1st is about right. Maroon has 42 points last season and 29 this season. He's an agitator. He'll fight for you. He's an underrated playmaker. And his 1.5M caphit means he'll fit onto any roster.

Not for Patrick Maroon. To beat a first we would have to use Barbashev or Kostin, and that’s just not happening for a rental of his value.
