Uh yes, that's exactly how it works. Reporters get paid to report information. "No comment" over and over again isn't going to put food on the table for their families. I'm not saying it will completely go away, but it will start to slow down.

What a load of BS

Kane has every right to be at camp at this point. He has not been arrested or charged with any crime

Forcing him away screams "Guilty until proven innocent" and degrades the idea of innocent until proven guilty

So if there is a trial he should still be allowed to play? He wont be guilty of anything until the trial ends.

That argument is off base. This isn't about his potential innocence. This is about the image of the Blackhawks and the NHL.

In the court of public opinion he may be guilty. That is enough to keep him away until charges are filed or he is absolved.

It sucks for him if he is innocent, but parading him in front of media saying we stand behind him is not fair to the accuser who is being attacked now as a money-hungry liar.

The nature of the question unanswered, the tone in which it wasn't answered, the mood of the room, the look on the face, the fact that the organization would subject the man to questions he can't answer...all that is more telling than any canned response. "Information" isn't just what some dolt athlete or politician says. Quotes are nice, we do our jobs with whatever we get and always try to get more. The bad ones make stuff up or blow things out of proportion.
