It's tough to uproot your kid - especially on short notice - especially during the school year. They might move to NJ for a time, but maybe I misread your post in saying 'why don't they travel with him' to mean - why don't they go on the road with him. That would be insanity.

It's tough to uproot your kid - especially on short notice - especially during the school year. They might move to NJ for a time, but maybe I misread your post in saying 'why don't they travel with him' to mean - why don't they go on the road with him. That would be insanity.

For guys with families our division, especially the Devils, Islanders, Rangers and Flyers are some of the best teams to play for in terms of getting to be home more often than other teams. I could see it being a big factor in him resigning here once he sees how easy the travel is vs Edmonton or Anaheim.

Oh haha no way! Unless they home schooled him, that would be very cool. A traveling pack of Maroons!

Anyway you can tell if affects him deeply. Hopefully he falls in love during his time here and we go on a strong run. Would be the perfect time to move his family over post-season, if they decided to !

After reading that his family is still there too I could see him signing with St Louis if they want him.....I'm not concerned with any of it, I just want to make the playoffs this year and I think he'll definitely help.

Could be that Chia’s demands scared other teams off making an offer and other forwards were ahead of Maroon on GM wish lists anyway.
