This is honestly terrifying. How are we even in the same league looking at our respective rosters?

I'm actually surprised I made 6. I thought it was lower

I've been on Team Terrors the last two weeks cause he was matched up against teams I'm chasing or are chasing me and they let me down. :shakehead

How many guys do you still have from your keepers and main draft?

I still have 6 of my keepers and 4 guys I drafted. My current roster also includes players that are or were my own prospects from the start of the season.

My team is only good on paper. I fully expect to be bounced in the 1st round courtesy of Malkin breaking his duodenum, and Jones believing he is a literal shark and continuing to flounder around the net.

Also the only player I have left from the main draft is: Chris Kunitz. What a beaut.

I have 5:

Scheifele, Dubinsky, Dubnyk, Yandle and Beauchemin.

This season was probably hideously mismanaged by me. I banked on a lot of players who turned out to have terrible, terrible seasons. Patrick Sharp, Boone Jenner, Jake Allen and Justin Abdelkader were keepers that were studs last year and waiver-worthy this year. Then just about every main draft pick was a complete bust and Dylan Strome didn't make the jump like I was expecting. And instead of taking this on the chin and playing it smart, I decided to buy my way up to being a semi-contender and let next year be the down year. Picking up Eaves, Sheary and others along with some great trades I've made have all worked wonders, but I'm going to be competing against guys who had a good team to work with and then added to it.

Oh well. Hope for the best.

It didn't go unnoticed. Every time you made a trade recently, I was like "another one?!"

I had a plan and i executed it i needed more offense so i went around and asked everyone that wasnt a contender if they were selling offense and bought some pieces to improve my team

Yep, that's the way to do it.

Yesterday was a roller-coaster for me. I know when Sheary gets back, I need to drop someone, and my most useless guys are either Moore or Glendening, who provide winger faceoffs. Another weak link was Russell, who provides blocks (most in the league) but pretty much nothing else. Because I need to win blocks in the playoffs, I wanted to upgrade him, but not downgrade blocks too much. I wanted either de Haan (if you were selling) or Cole, and I eventually got Cole, which made me ecstatic. To address faceoffs, I just upgraded Thornton to someone who gets more of just about everything, including a bunch more faceoffs given Thornton is always on a line with other centres. Turris is also quite a bit younger and I feel better about keeping him.

I think I must have kicked tires on 6-7 different guys yesterday to solve my FW problem. Such is the life of building around that category.

All my trades prior to the deadline were basically just desperately cutting the dead weight and try to add scoring. Only one that doesn't fit that mould is Simmonds/Backstrom, but that was a shift of categories more than anything.
