If I was there, I would cheer him. He's don a ton for the organization and he didn't really leave on any bad terms. He brought us to a Stanley Cup and gave us 7 great years.

Who cares? He played hard while he was here and an extraordinary situation (money and location) prompted the move. If the Devils were not playing like flesh-eating bacteria, I don't think we would have our collective panties in a bunch. Just win.

I care, thats why I started the thread. I still blame Lou to an extent but then again the thing I do admire about Lou is that sticks to his plan....sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt.

Meh. I'm not going tonight, but I probably wouldn't boo or cheer. I think Kovy leaving actually made me feel much better about Zach. At least he was a free agent. He had the right to go wherever he wanted and he made his decision. It's a business. Kovy, on the otherhand, completely neglected his contract. If he ever comes back, I would boo the hell out of him.

Definitely would boo if I went. He was the captain of a very good team that was 2 wins away from the finals and left for the money to a team that sucked (yet he repeatedly said he wanted to win)

If I gave a damn and the team was in a playoff spot right now(had they swept the florida series), I'd boo the ever-loving *BLEEP* out of this clown.

But frankly, My Dear, I don't give a damn because the Devils playoff chances are GONE WITH THE WIND. :sarcasm:

I dont know I think almost everybody would have done what he did. Getting a pay raise and going to play at home where he wanted to be. Most everyone has a choice where they want to be employed

Yeah no problem with that. Don't act like it wasn't for the money though and say you are leaving a Cup contender for a non-playoff team so that you can have a chance to win.

When you add players like Parise and Suter to a team with a lot of up and coming young talent that gives a team a great chance to win! so again where is the fault??

Yeah, that's why I would boo him every time he touched the ice tonight if I were going to the game. If I end up getting drunk before the game I might even boo him from home.

Did he really "keep" saying that? Or was it just one overheard remark he said to a fan as he was getting off the bus?

why on earth u would boo on parise, i cant see why.

he didnt leave us, we most likely let him go. its not his fault and if he gets offered 98m 13 year deal with his best friend in his home town, would u turn that deal down just because ur fans are demanding to stay or would u actually live ur life like ur supposed to, making decisions u enjoy the most.

booing to kovy i understand 100%. he comes to helsinki next year with ska petersburg playing against my home town team jokerit, i can throw few eggs on his face or whatever u want if it makes u feel good but cmoon now with the parise, its whole different story.

I would boo him.

It's not that he left, it's the way he left. Saying that he loves it here and his first priority was to re-sign. Then finding out that he and Suter had been discussing this move for quite some time, all while Parise continually said he'd like to re-sign. Just say no comment, it would have hurt to know he was going to leave right off the hop much less than to believe there's a chance he'd re-sign right up until he actually signed with another team.

he said it every single day and in between every period for the last 20 games of the season LOL BTW it's shameful that you guys are no longer called the Northstars, one of the best names and uniforms in hockey history IMO
