Nice to read about good parent role models for a change. A little fluffy but also imbedded in the article is a link to a story about Karl Subban's role in the Brookview "Heros" hockey program.
Every town and city could use a Karl Subban but he's a hero in the Jane Finch corridor of Toronto.

He was my middle school teacher for a year in Toronto, was fair and decent, and also a huge guy so you kind of just **** when he was talking.

Its funny I had totally forgotten about Mr. Subban until a middle school friend reminded me on facebook. He brought his boys to school on a few occasions and I saw them a couple times if I remember correctly, Pk would have been about 8. They were cute kids and a cute family, little did I know I would come to idolize the oldest child 15 years later.
