I agree with you guys about Boyes. Two-year deal would be ideal, three-year at the most. I wouldn't like a four-year deal.

I'm also thinking Goc can probably fetch a 2nd or 3rd round pick. And maybe a 5th round pick for Weaver.

Also, kudos to the guys who mentioned that they'd like to see the atmosphere at Panthers games changed. For as long as I could remember hockey games in Sunrise are more like a circus rather than a hockey game. You have pop music playing, an annoying in arena voice distracting you, garbage flying through the air, loud random noises like police sirens, a goal-horn that goes on too long, panes of glass going up with labels still on them, no organ whatsoever and many other annoying things that distract you from the actually game. Fans are force-fed this junk and then told, "oh, by the way, there are some dudes on the ice who are playing hockey or something". It has to stop.

I forget who said it, but someone mentioned, they don't always announce the opposing team's starting lineup.. When I realized that.. I mean, the fact that an NHL franchise would build a game up that way is so cringeworthy. It's disgusting and needs to stop! Get more hockey people to be involved in the decision-making that goes into in-game preparation and procedures. I want Panther games to get away from the freaking "disneyland" vibe and go back to making it feel like an actual HOCKEY GAME. Is that so much to ask? It has to change!

Completely agree with all of this. The 20$ parking fee needs to be either dropped completely or lowered. When I tell people you can park across the street and walk over via police escort before and after games that already paid the 20, they are pissed and after that and the rest of the games plus having to spend an arm and a leg for mediocre food, they say they will never attend again. Great way to build loyalty.

The in game "entertainment" is still terrible despite the new scoreboard. I have friends who work for BBT and theyvsat there are at least 10 mistakes every game. Even without the mistakes the format is terrible. Ice Man and the Rat Pack both need to go, badly. Music choices need to change completely, etc etc.

A lot needs to change at BBT. Hopefully we notice that and make it happen.
