Undersized French forward with big expectations to the Habs?

Haven’t we seen this before?

Oh, so you were looking to settle a score from a previous post then. Good job bud, you got me . In case you didn't noticed, you focus in your reply is on the poster, not he hockey topic.... which is against the rules for a reason.

No, I was replying to your "close it down" comment just because it's not a move you'd make.

Not the type of player the Habs need with the roster we have right now (too many smurfs still). I wouldn't even sign Pageau as a UFA.

Shut it down. Habs not going to trade for Pageau
really dont understand this logic. you rave about Caufield who is more of a smurf but want no part of Pageau even as a UFA? thats like me saying i wouldnt take Gallagher because hes to small. the guy is talented and if the bruins didnt spend to the cap every year i would take him in a minute as a UFA. i guess youre no longer used to being a cap team

Agreed. As a Habs fan, I'm insulted if anybody thinks he is a good fit for Montreal. Happy to see him having a great season but Pageau can go anywhere but Montreal. He's not the type we need to add to our mix.
I can see Pageau as a good add, but the price will be too rich, a two way right handed center could really help.
EDIT : Forgot to mention PK specialist and over 50% in the faceoff last five years.

Considering how the lil bastard owns us. It might not be a bad idea to trade for him. Then lock him in a closet, so he never scores against us again :)

Pageau is a good player, he'd be an asset for any team including the Habs. He's like a better scoring version of Danault.

Whether Montreal needs him or not he would improve any team he is on. So instead of sitting there threatening to switch fanbases if they were to make this move embrace it or posting FACTS why it would be a bad idea. I would love to see the Habs get back to winning ways but Montreal loves to teeter on mediocracy. It has pretty much been the case since 1993.

We have not built through the draft properly. In 07, we drafted McDonagh, Patch, and Subban (Already had Price) but then followed that up with some of the worse drafting you will see in a 4 year span! All we have to show for 4 years was Gallagher. We only 8 top 100 picks which is almost dead last in that range.

Bergevin has finally started to stock pile darts for our scouts from 17+ drafts. We have done very well and we have lots of picks in the next draft too. Problem is they don't want to double down on the youth movement. They are heading down the road where they want to win in the short term and long term. All we are doing in the short term is chasing a "straight" where even if we hit (playoffs), we are up against a full house.

Pageau is like chasing two pair and worse than chasing the straight!
