He is apparently being shopped, and a D of his caliber could really help us turn things around. With the GM change, we also know that the Flyers are trying to improve short term. Subban could be a very interesting fit. What would you guys be willing to give for him?

Subban will turn 30 next month and is signed for 3 more years at 9M per.

Deskfront, facing WSW
PK is not a big point producing upgrade, is older, has health concerns, a questionable locker room history, and costs a lot more.

What will Nashville give to get from under his contract is a better question?
Subban was once a top D-man. Once upon a time.

Last five years:
E +/-: 5.9, 1.9, 9.2, -5.1, -3.8
xGF/60: 0.051, 0.033, 0.074, 0.060, 0.055
xGA/60: 0.010, -0.071, -0.083. 0.053, 0.081
GAR EV: 8.9, 10.8, 4.8, 7.3, 1.0
PP EV: 2.5, 2.7, 3.1, 3.2, -0.4
SH: 3.7, 0.6, 1.1, 1.3, -2.0

His offense has held up, but his defense has steadily deteriorated to where he's below average.
Flyers don't need him on the PP, but could use him at ES if he's healthy
You have to wonder if the injuries have taken their toll, and how he'll hold up from 30-32.

Nothing wrong with that contract. He was probably a top 5 defenseman in the league prior to this season. I don’t have access to his medical records, but that’s what you have to figure out.

His age, wear & tear, and medical concerns are WHY the contract scares me. A healthy PK with a lot of miles left in his prime is obviously worth it.

He’s 29 and it’s essentially a 3 year deal. I mean that’s as ideal as it gets.

I don’t know how serious his injuries are and obviously that’s up to the team to explore and if he’s not going to finish his contract (which seems unlikely) you don’t do the deal, but cmon. You’re acting like it’s a 7 year deal taking him to 40.

No idea what his trade value is like now and that’s ultimately what gets me to say yes or no, but PK in a vacuum is someone I would look to add.
