Should the Stars go after him this off-season for something like a 3 yr / $2.5-3.5M contract? Right shot RD, that can still play a lot of minutes, but doesn’t have to be a top-pairing guy? Could pair with pretty much anyone, I would imagine. Also, great with community support and charity, etc.

As the oldest team in the league, I think most of us would propose a moratorium on another old guy. We already have Suter added last year. It's time to just go with Harley and assess after a year or two rather than delay his development by putting an old, and clearly declining, vet in front of him.

If last year we drafted almost all forwards, I suspect we will lean heavily on defense this year, or maybe trade one of our three forward prospects for an equal level D to fill out the D corps in a few years. Just my guess.
