Makes sense since Price is out, but damn. Speaks volumes about this team when Subban is the only one and he's been playing downright awful for a month.
You know what speaks volumes? Crosby hasn't been invited. OUCH.
There's only 1 all-star this year on this team. And it's Price. They should have named him even if he didn't play. Deserve it more than Subban. Though it's Subban type of game...the flashy type....Don't make him do the slapshot event though...he won't touch the net.
I'd put Subban in the all-star category easy, even tho he has a bad year.
"What?! No Davey!?" - Michel Therrien
imho; They should dump the stupid All-Star Game and just have a weekend of skills competitions. They're more fun to watch and you can see the players enjoy them as well.
Based on play it should be Pacioretty but I'd rather see Subban 3-on-3 so it makes sense.
Pacioretty's passes attempts would have been just as funny as John Scott skating at the all-star.
Well, Jagr said he wouldn't be going, did he?
Most teams have one player. The new format makes it even harder to get 2-3 players.
Well, Jagr said he wouldn't be going, did he?
Subban is invited, but by the players association, and not for his play of late. It's for getting that $9M per year contract for seven years.
At the rate he is going, that is some expensive goal. Although, if using total points, 27 points at the season mid point equates to ($4,500,000/27=) $166,667 per point. Nice job if you can get one.
Meanwhile Desharnais has 21 points and his cost is ($1,750,000/21=) $83,333 per point. Obviously the better business choice.
