Proposal: Owen Tippett for Kirill Marchenko

It looks like Philadelphia has RWs in abundance while Columbus has more LWs than RWs so here is the trade that can solve both teams' wing problems.

Tippett is 17 months older and signed through 2031-32 year for $6.2M/year. Marchenko is RFA and will probably be cheaper which should compensate his worse statistics because Phily has problems with the cap.

And Marchenko is Russian and played with Michkov in the MHL.

Can't see Philly trading Tippett after signing him to a huge deal.

Also can't see Columbus moving any talent in division especially to a team that will likely be one of their larger rivals in 3-5 years.

Frankly Marchenko is young and IMO more talented

I personally think they are about the same talent wise, and both are pretty young. And as I said Columbus needs more RWs while it's the other way round for the Flyers.

They just signed Tippett to an 8-year deal and I don’t really see the cap issues with Philly; they’ll have almost 10M in LTIR available between Ellis and Johanson.

It would take a major falling out between the organization and him in the offseason to even consider moving on from a guy they see as a major piece.
