This video does a nice job showing arena upgrades around the NHL

In Boston, fans are grumbling that the promised scoreboard upgrade pales to others installed this year and the new seats at TD Garden are narrower as they added one seat per row throughout the arena.

By buddy who has Bruins season tickets loves the new padded seats but hates the colors. I'm still waiting another 1 or 2 years before Honda Center replaces our seats in the upper deck.

You should see what Seattle plans on doing for score boards. It won't be 1 center scoreboard but dual score boards one on each end.
Hope they aren't planning to have upper deck seats behind the goals, because those would block the views of half the ice for any seats up high.

Heck, the new scoreboard in the PNC Arena already comes close to doing that behind the goals here in Raleigh, and that only goes blueline to blueline.

This isn't going come close to even being like Brooklyn's arena and the NHL (NBA too) had to sign off on Seattle center arena before construction even started. No way the NHL would allow another Brooklyn like arena.

I don't think anyone was saying it would be Barclays/Talking Stick Arena like in its setup, just that there comes a point where the scoreboards get so large they actually get in the way of seeing the ice itself. And that dual scoreboard setup is definitely different. We'll see how it works out in the long run.
