Not clutch in the playoffs, dissapears in international play, relys heavily on a pp one timer. Isn't a gamechanger anymore. Other than his shot, he doesnt have any elite quality. A lot of ppl think hes still better than Benn which is ridiclous. Benn is a better playmaker, passer, defensivly, didnt have Seguin, better hockey iq and still had 41 goals. Ovi doesnt seem like the guy u could build your franchise around.

Saying ovi is not clutch in the playoffs is pretty silly. This isn't basketball. One player is not going to win a Stanley cup by himself. He has the 11th most playoff goals out of active players and everyone in front of him has a considerable amount more games played than him (quite a few have his playoff GP at least doubled). Ovis team has choked in the playoffs, he hasn't.

He scores a lot of goals. A lot. And he's not a compiler. He has the trophy case. He's an all time great. How is he overrated? Who build their teams ( successfully) around wingers? Howe might be excluded and even he has a HOF supporting cast. Hull's Hawks? Still, Washington doesn't have Mikita or Pilote.

At the moment, he's no longer the player he once was and Sid is quite a bit better than him, while players like Benn and Kane are at least as good. But, in his prime and over the course of his career, OV has been an absolutely incredible player. A top 5 goalscorer of all time, IMO. I'd say that, due to his team's lack of post-season success, he's almost become underrated.
