He's playing with Parise and Midlestadt so far in the playoffs.Lehky 5 points in 3 games now. bit of a Hyman effect playing with MacKinnon but still. what a player, very happy for him.

He's definitely not better than Price.
just convinces me further that goalie is not a position you optimize for when building a team. the position is just too random, you can have a Vezina candidate for 82 games that just gets absolutely lit up during the post-season.Not sure he's better than Price right now let alone when he played. Insanely overrated player.

Pretty sure I saw a big gash on his left hand. Wasn't pretty.Dillon actually has a really bad cut on his hand. He's dripping blood. He might have gotten stepped on. Well, he's the idiot who started it all.
Not if you draft the right goalie. God damn that was a lot of blood.

just for fun, would you draft Carey Price at 5OA this year? or Anze Kopitar? Not if you draft the right goalie. Price was always good in the playoffs even when he wasn't in the regular season.
i'm not saying goaltending is complicated, i'm saying it's not complicated. it's completely random, really, so spend your assets on other positions which are more likely to yield results.Just draft winners at the position. People love to pretend goaltending is complicated because they have no idea how to evaluate it, just take players who win at every level. At that position, you have to be at your best when your best is required. It's a mentality position IMO.

how else do you explain absolute no-name goaltenders getting hot in the playoffs, winning the cup, then regressing to mediocrity immediately afterwards?I don't buy the "it's random" excuse at all
