The Florida Panthers took it to the San Jose Sharks for the second time this season, defeating them 6-2 tonight. The Panthers first line of Mats Sundin, Alexandre Daigle and Raffi Torres devastated Jose Theodore all night long. Daigle recorded a hat trick, Sundin 2 goals and 2 assists and Torres with a goal and a helper. With his two goals, Sundin has now moved into first place in the HFNHL in goals. He is proving to be an excellent addition to this Panthers team looking for someone to lead them. The win moves the surprising Panthers into third place in the East.
This game had another agenda, as GM Brock Otten defeated his Brock University brother Dave Astles for the second time this season. Taking a 2-0 lead in the Brock bowl. "Dave told me before the game that Theodore was going to eat Raffi Torres whole and that our first win was a fluke," said Otten, "Not only did this convincing win lower Dave's self esteem even more (he's probably listening to some sweet emo music right now), but it also proved to our fans that the Florida Panthers are for real this season. We are going to be a competitive hockey club this season and on."
