Montreal Lineup
as per John Lu

Pacioretty - Galchenyuk - Gallagher
Lehkonen - Plekanec- Andrighetto
Carr - Desharnais - Shaw (Hudon)
Terry - McCarron - Farnham

Beaulieu - Pateryn
Barberio - Sergachev
Hanley - Redmond

Condon
Lindgren

Ottawa Lineup
my stab at their lineup - likely way off.

Hoffman - Turris - Ryan
Paul - Brassard - Blunden
Puempel - Pageau - Pyatt
Dzingel - Kelly - Varone

Chabot - Ceci
Bartkowski - Wideman
Claesson - Kostka
Borowiecki

Chris Driedger
Matt O'Connor

Swap out Ghetto for Rads and hopefully opening night top 9 right there. Lehks making an impact and sticks around. DD with some speed & grit on his line will likely stick as well.
Excited to see Sergachev play!

Nice to finally have some meat against an Ottawa team that I'm ashamed to say has been beating up on us.

Can't imagine Farnham, Shaw (if he's in) or McCarron not getting into a fight.

Should be a nasty game.

Really hoping Lekhonen has another good game and clicks with Plekanec.

Lekhonen-Plekanec-Radulov is a much better 2nd line than Shaw-Plekanec-Radulov

Not only that, it makes the third line a lot better too.

Radulov is an excellent passer and Lehkonen has a hell of a release, that line could be very interesting.

Sens D is likely Chabot-Ceci on line 1

Ceci being the clear best RD in the list, and Chabot being the highly touted prospect management (likely) wants to see against top forwards.

Man that guy owes his NHL career to the Habs

Someone should do some research and see what percentage of his career goals (regular season and playoff) were against the Habs.

He's a pretty good player, scored 19 goals last year...small but feisty and pretty creative.

Interesting. This forward lineup (aside from the 4th line and Radulov) looks pretty close to what we'll be starting the year with.

Edit: aside from Shaw as well...

The kind of game we absolutely needed Shaw.

IS there a chance Sergachev makes the team?

Based on now, no:

Weber
Markov
Petry
Emelin
Beaulieu
Pateryn
Barberio

If we move a D and pick up something other than a D, then maybe.

If Sergachev is a serious prospect, they will protect him in the minors, give him top 4 minutes instead of being a 7-8 with the big club. Also remember the upcoming expansion draft...

Can't wait to see Sergy against NHL competition. He was great in the rookie tournament but this is the real stuff now.

Anyone know what number he will be wearing tonight?

Fair assessment but I took notice the other day of how he was seen in the OHL in a coaches poll that ranked him the best defenseman and the leagues 2nd best player. He has size, skill, speed and is very mature for his age.

While it is unlikely that he makes the team I still see him possibly getting a 9 game look.

In retrospect he should probably been a top 5 pick.
