The first of many 'owskis in the lineup tonight. Fantastic. If only Feaster were here to see it; I'd bet he'd shed a tear... or eat a doughnut.

GFG, excited to see how the kids perform tonight.

I find it fascinating to note that despite all the youth that just came up, there's still only one debut tonight. Oh yeah, and I need to fix the goalies. Just noticed.

Did Burke do enough today to give the Flames a legitimate shot at a lottery pick?

Absolutely. He did after all elect to keep Cammalleri and Butler.

I don't know. I think that Edmonton had the more impressive deadline. They got rid of Hemsky and Schultz for basically nothing. I feel like that will have more of an impact than Stempniak and Berra.

My god looking at that lineup we might have kept Cammy so we could ice a line with at least 1 season of experience if we needed it

My god that is a young lineup good luck guys.

Just to pass the time, here's a fun activity:

Rank the 12 Flames forwards in order of who you think is the best player right now. I'm interested to see the 4-6 range:

1. Hudler
2. Backlund
3. Cammalleri
4. Byron
5. Monahan
6. Colborne
7. Bouma
8. Reinhart
9. Granlund
10. Knight
11. Hanowski
12. McGrattan

People will question why I have McGrattan at 8, but for the kind of player he is, he brings his game consistently. He does a decent checking job (I can't recall once this season where a goal was specifically due to his blown coverage) and the grit plus experience he brings is more guaranteed than what the prospects bring to the NHL ice right now.
