But then no MacArthur.
Exactly. There is Alfie's contract plus maybe another 750K-1M.
But then no MacArthur.
Thinking about Ottawa's 56-57 million dollar budget for next season... Probably want to go into the year at 55... Give the team money for injury callups and the trade deadline.
That should give the team about 5.0 to add a top six winger if the current roster is kept in tact.
I've compiled a list of wingers that could fit the Sens budget without sending money out.
Wayne Simmonds - 3.2x1, 3.8x1, 4.3x1, 4.5x1, 5.0x1
Patrick Hornqvist - 4.0x1, 4.25x1, 4.75x2
Brooks Laich - 4.5x1, 4.0x2
Jakub Voracek - 4.5x2
Loui Eriksson - 4.5x2
Teddy Purcell - 4.5x2
Andrew Ladd - 4.5x2
David Perron - 4.25x1, 4.5x1
PA Parrnteau - 4.0x2
Troy Brouwer - 3.7x2
Michael Grabner - 4.0x1, 5.0x1
Chris Stewart - 4.2x1
Drew Stafford - 4.0x1
Tomas Fleishman - 4.5x1
Scottie Upshall - 3.5x1
Justin Williams - 3.05x1
Mike Cammaleri - UFA
Ray Whitney - UFA
Steve Downie - UFA
Randim Vrbata - UFA
How do you figure that? I have them at 53M without either Hemsky or Michalek signed?
First post has the payroll breakdown
A look at the 15/16 season
If the budget is 60 million (Increase of 3.0-4.0 from 14/15 season)
??- Turris 3.5 - ??
?? - ?? - ??
Greening 2.75 - ?? - ??
?? - Smith 2.0 - Neil 1.5
?? - Karlsson 7.0
Cowen 3.7 - Ceci 0.83
Phillips 2.5 - Wiercioch 2.7
??
Lehner 1.5 (projecting a 2year 3.0 deal this summer)
Total - 27.98
Leaves 32.02 million for the following
UFA - Spezza, Ryan, Methot, MaCArthur, Anderson
RFA - Zibanejad, Stone, Pageu
So with that in mind any winger the Sens bring in this summer if longer then one year that money will eat into next years budget
