I think what it is is that Florida is trying to build up Springfield and wants both the nhl and ahl team to have success. Wilkie is ok, but Florida has a lot of good forward prospects so he probably wasn't ever going to get a shot.

Man, Jack Rodewald was a heckuva fun player in juniors who really worked his butt off to get an NHL deal. I hope he gets another shot at the NHL with Florida
