Many players distancing themselves from salary demand (est. Cost $100m/year; increasing as new players join hall), but insurance is another matter

Hall of famers want health insurance for life. All former players should have health insurance for life, but that's not what it seems like they're asking for. This is something both NFL and NFLPA should be putting money into.


HOFers also want a 300k stipend... while ignoring the players that made much less than what they did during their careers. This is pure stupidity, that's an insane amount.

Why not ask for some sort of retirement fund for ALL former players. Something which former players could apply for, but also being a much, much smaller amount. Like 10% tops what they're asking for.

I like what Kurt Warner said. Should be for all retired players.

Although, the pension part for MLB players is incomplete. 43 days? How much do they get after 43 days? It is the same as a player that played in the Majors for 15 years? Is it tied to earnings?
