I read an article in the Montreal Gazette that former Eskimos FB Michael Soles has ALS, http://www.montrealgazette.com/heal...?fb_action_ids=589667254393721&action_ref_map. It is a good read as the article is written by Soles as he talks about his battle with the disease he's had since 2005. As a background, Soles was with the Eskimos from 1989-1995, was part of the 1993 Grey Cup victory, and played with the Montreal Alouettes from 1996-1999.
