Yea he did.

He was a basketball junkie who wanted into the exclusive North American sports owners club so bad that he really did not care how much it was going to cost him. He probably said "yes" to the first price Sterlings ex-wife threw at him. Its like that nerdy kid in high school who wants to hang with the cool kids so badly that he buys a sports car and the same clothes as them.

IIRC he was worth 20-25 billion when he bought the Clips, now thanks ti Microsoft stock hes worth double that.

That'll happen when you have 50 fans. I don't know how you fix the Miami sports market, but abusing the tax payers probably wasn't the best way.

Disgusts me how much the Pirates are worth given how little the sniveling piece of shit who owns the team paid for it and invests in it. Nothing more than a shitty rich asshole's money printing machine. Why sell the team when the value keeps jumping up $250M every couple years when some other shitty rich asshole overpays for a team? Pocket ~$35M per year, see the value rise...why change?

Bring back the guillotine.
