Really surprised at how 'human' and emotionally charged it was.

I recall in the 80s our North American media portrayed them as such stoic emotionless machines, it was easy to forget how much emotional pain and suffering these players went through. Was too young and naive to realise they were deeply entrenched in a hostile political climate, and how much personal loss, and sacrifice most of these players had to withstand.

They had to persevere without basic human rights.



Mad respect for Fetisov for doing things the hard way.
