wow...... younger, stronger, bigger. Bionic Habs.

How have we improved? It looks like a big improvment on paper but have we traded experience for rookie mistakes?

IMHO, I think MB has been brilliant with the whole transition, allowing us to move forward with young players who have had at least a taste of pro or minor pro hockey. We have also addressed the size issue. (well we have one small problem at C)

That opening day defense last season. :amazed:

I like this year's lineup better as it's filled with more youth and more depth.

Definite upgrade,

Beaulieu is already better than Gorges, Gilbert is better than Diaz, Weaver is (much) better than Bouillon. PAP is a better fit than Brière, if only position wise. And Malhotra/Weise are miles ahead of Parros/Moen. I think Sekac/Gionta is a wash.

Age and size wise.... Sekac > Gionta

Could however be better on the stat sheet as well

Huge upgrade.

It's also a team fit for the coach. I have no idea why Bergevin and the Habs brass figured it was a good idea to add Daniel Briere to that already small forward group?

Thanfully he has seen the light and dumped the deadwood. There's still work to do but letting Bouillon go was the confirmation i needed to fully trust him.

Bourque - Eller - Sekac
Prust - Malhotra - Weise
Moen-Bournival

Look at that bottom 6, MT must be salivating.

What´s the story, is De la Rose making the team? And what´s his chances of making the lineup on opening night?

It's great to be younger and bigger...but in the NHL experience is a great asset, just ask teams like Edmonton that has tons of talent but can't get a sniff o playoffs. Hopefully we didn't lose TOO MUCH experience and the young vets are ready to step up.
