The Avs look about done after the news about Nichushkin.

They've looked defeated since puck drop. It's not even like the Stars just got a fortunate goal.
It’s a continuation of game 3 though. Just a straight line from what they did to the Avs there. But without both Nichushkin and Toews tonight it’s only so much worse. On Saturday Dallas controlled the game. Tonight you’d call them dominant. They’ve crushed Denver from the puck drop.

Early, when Makar turned that puck over for the shorthanded goal, I thought what would this board be saying if Luke Hughes did that. Shit happens.

Now I’ve done Photo Dumps for our games, but out of my deep abiding respect for both our rivals, I’m doing a special one for NYR vs CAR Game 5.

The “I Believe I Can Fly” Edition

In the interest of fairness, I try to capture the highs and lows of both of these impressive teams equally.

Here he does a tremendous job clearing the crease of Carolina’s most dangerous forward, Kotkaniemi.

He was however outrageously called for Holding because defenders just aren’t allowed to play defense these days. *SMDH*

The fan favorite made his 6 minutes count with one hit and lots of no doubt very intimidating tough talk. *brrr, scary*

What a game changer.

I have the same first name as your friend & I'm 33 going on 34. Kinda crazy...

I'm sorry for you loss buddy , hopefully Dallas can win it all this season for him.

I didn't get to see any of the games tonight but I saw plenty of Ranger fans come through Grand Central Terminal pretty defeated. Carolina still has a big mountain climb if they can pull this off. I also thought the Avs were going to win tonight and have a dominant game to establish themselves back in the series. I'm a bit shocked that they are down 3 to 1 in the series. I had Avs vs Panthers as my cup favorites , it's looking like that won't be the case with the Avs. They match up well with any team in this league but you have to respect the Stars. They didn't finish #1 in the West this season for no reason.

I work in operations for an oil major.

If I was to piss hot while on the job, I would be fired on the spot. No ifs, no buts.

f*** this guy. Twice he's done this to his team mates...

Before the "lighten up" crowd descend on me, yeah I have sympathy. Addiction is a terrible thing, but man signed a contract and he f***ing blew it.

I can’t see the Rangers losing 4 straight. I know they’re our heated rivals, but I truly dislike Carolina. And it goes back to the Stevens and Marty era.

the good thing is now they only need to lose 2 straight :DD

momentum is real and the rangers 5v5 play has not been good. still a long shot for a reverse sweep but the series was a lot closer than 3-0 would have you believe and the rangers are not as good as 7-0 would have you believe.

also lol at burns breaking his stick on zibanejad’s back and not getting called for anything

Even if the Rags beat the Canes (I agree that momentum is now on their side), they will get absolutely smoked by Florida.

They've swept a dreadful Caps team and are only just now having to face adversity.

Also, I'd just like to add that Zach Parise is likely done without ever getting a cup. Karma is a bitch.

is it usual to suspend a guy mid playoffs for an event off the ice? i haven't paid attention to the story but i wasn't even aware an investigation was going on and that they could drop the hammer on him at any moment?

Rags go up 3-0 and everyone here is saying just accept that they are winning the cup this year and now they lose a couple of games and everyone seems confident they won’t even make it to the finals now

winning game 5 after being down 3-0 imo is the hardest game to win now just win a home game and all the pressure is on the rangers in game 7 not that it isn't already to avoid game 7.

I've been on the "fraud Rangers" beat long before the playoffs even started. And once they did start, the Rangers swept the worst playoff team in decades and then eked out 3 one goal wins to start the series (including 2 OT wins).

Anybody who was calling them a juggernaut in here was just trying to hedge so if the Rangers did win they at least got to be correct about something as the pain rolled in. And that's for cowards.

If the general consensus is true and he failed a drug test, it's not an investigation or anything. He got got because he entered the player program, which includes regular drug testing. Nothing to do with what happened last year or anything now, it's just a "this is a recovery program and if you don't adhere to the rules you're going to get suspended, no matter when it happens"

We probably have a dogshit 2C right now, lol.
Or Mercer stays at center, who knows how that goes but he never really had a shot there because bruh can’t have a prized prospect playing 3C when Jack/Nico play 40 minutes, too bad they never actually play every game except for 2022

The good thing atm is the inane ‘94 game by game playoff comparison can end now at least
